This is my first post on Disboards! Quick question...in yall's opinion, can my family of 6 (with two teenage brothers) order a mere 1/2 meter pizza and leave full? I managed to get an ADR for our Christmas trip and I have been dreaming about their pizza ever since. Any suggestions for how to eat somewhat on the cheaper side?

The ½ meter pizza is about 304 square inches. A 10 inch pizza is 78 square inches. So the half-meter is equal to four ten inch pizzas.

As a math teacher :teacher:, I just want to say I'm impressed with your math skills. So, when my students ask me, "when am I ever going to use this?" I can use this question and solution! For those of us planning to order pizza at Disney, those 7th Grade math skills are actually useful!

I'm suddenly hungry for pizza...:rotfl2:

is this the one with 12 slices? if so, better order 2. We went with 5 people (moderate eaters) and we cleared through 1 and were still hungry

My brother in law bet me I couldn't put down a half meter pizza all by my lonesome when we're there in 10 days. He's offering the price of the pizza PLUS a bottle of wine if I can do it.

I think that's one of those bets that even if I win, I lose.

Our family of four (with 2 teenage boys) devoured a salad and the half meter pizza. You will probably need more than one.

Great to know!!! Thanks so much for helping me out...as a poor college student wanting to treat her family to a fun dining experience, I appreciate knowing how much money to plan on spending. Better to have leftovers (not a common occurence in my household) than to leave with partially empty stomachs! Do y'all think one 1/2 meter pizza and a large would do the trick? =)

Allears.net indicates that the Mezzo Metro feeds 3-5 people, and the Large serves 2-3, so you'll probably be ok with one of each, but it may also depend on the toppings as more toppings are more filling.

Last August we ordered two the 1/2 meter pizzas for a party of 8--4 adults, 4 kids. We ate through all of the pizza--and it was delicious, btw :)

We all ordered water and skipped salads/desserts though so it actually wasn't a very expensive meal for us.

Enjoy it!

First time we went there knowing nothing about the portion sizes, DW and DD decided they didn't want pizza so DS8 and I decided to split one. I had no clue how large it was. Pizza came and barely fit on the table. DS9 takes one bite and decides he doesn't like it. That leaves me staring at gigantic pizza and not wanting to waste any food.

I gave up about half way through when it started to hurt.

This in no way adds anything to the thread, but I felt like sharing my stupidity.

We had 15 people in April (including 2 little ones who don't eat much). We ordered 3 of the 1/2 meter pizzas and two appetizers (i think it was the platter of fried veggies) and we finished all the pizza but not all of the appetizers.
