Vhs/dvd?

Does anyone know if there is anywhere you can rent those portable VHS or DVD players that go in cars/vans?
I really would hate to buy one because I don't see us using it at home on a daily basis. Any ideas?

You just might be surprised how much you use it in your everyday life. Keeps kids entertained no matter where you are driving and I am sure this is not the only trip you will take in the coming months / years. Just my opinion since they are relatively inexpensive.

portabledvdstore.com has rentals of dvd players with the bag to hang them betweent the front seats. you can also buy them through them.

About 3 months ago i bought a NIB (new in box) tv/vcr in a bag for only $110 (ebay.com). It came with EVERYTHING you needed to run in or out of my car (including the headrest strap). It only came with a 5" monitor but that was fine for my 3 year old daughter. Last week i purchased a NIB portable DVD player that worked and fit perfectly with the tv for only $69 (Buy it Now price). Together plus the shipping and handling i've spent right at $200. It also looks just like the units you can rent that sits between the two front seats. The price to rent for 10 days is $130.00. You tell me who got the better deal.
