VGF to Epcot, Bus or Monorail?

We are staying at VGF next week. If we want to head to Epcot, does it make more sense to walk to the TTC to catch the EPP monorail, take the resort loop to the TTC, or just take the bus to EP?

We haven't stayed there before so I'm not sure how long it would take to get from VGF to TTC.

It's a pretty good hike to walk from VGF to TTC. Much easier and faster to hop on the monorail to TTC and then transfer.

I don't think there is an Epcot bus from VGF.

I'm sure the monorail would be quicker. You'd have to walk to the Poly, and then through the Poly.

DH and I stayed at VGF in May, and rather enjoyed our walks to the TTC to catch the Monorail! We brought our refillable mugs with us, so on the way back we would stop in Capt. Cook's to grab a cold drink to sip on while we enjoyed the gorgeous view as we walked the rest of the way. Only once when it was *really* hot did we decide to take the Monorail.

Your fastest route is probably walking to the TTC and taking the Epcot monorail. They will only run buses if the monorail is down. Since the resort monorail is a bit of a hike from the VGF it is not too much longer to just walk to the TTC (probably about 2 times as long) unless you have very slow walkers or those who have trouble walking.

Another vote for taking the monorail to the TTC and transferring to the EPCOT monorail. rlovew is correct that it is a bit of a stroll from VGF to the GF, but it is a covered walkway which is nice.

Thanks all for your replies. I guess we'll just wait and see how hot it is and/or how tired we are before making the trek to the TTC. Looking forward to our first stay at GF!!

Sit back, relax and ride the monorail to TTC and then on to Epcot. We often take the ride and return just for the ride.

We were at the GF one night, last trip, just resort peeping, when someone over at the VGF construction site made a boo boo, and cut a power line....which shut the trains down. We had 30 min to make our Ohana ADR at the Poly. It is a lot further walk than you might think!
