Just purchased our DVC membership last week while we were on the Disney Cruise. Now, I'm planning our first trip for Nov. 18-25 (7 night). I was able to reserve the 2 bedroom for the first 4 nights at VGF. I have waitlisted the last 3. Do I have a shot at all to get those last three nights since they are so close to Thanksgiving? Or, should I just be ready at the 7 month mark to try and find something else. I really hate to have to pick up and move 10 people mid trip.

TIA

I would contact your guide and tell him/her that you have changed your mind about buying because you can't even book your first stay.

Often they will find availability if they think that they will lose a sale.

Yea I remember my first booking was for that time of year and I was allowed to book BCV they were able to allow me to stay there since it was my first booking and I missed the 11 month and 7 month window when I made my purchase. So it can happen, I didn't have to call my guide MS made that reservation for me. Also what is your Home Resort?

I just got off the phone with MS and she said there was nothing available but put me at the top of the waitlist. Should I believe them that there is nothing available? Is it possible for them to move me to the top of the waitlist?

Call your guide, not MS. I totally believe nothing is available & that MS did you a favor by putting you at the top of the waitist.

But your sales person / guide may be able to pull something out of the non-DVC inventory for you for this first reservation. Good luck.
