VGF availability

Haven't been on the board in a year or so, nor my DVC page. Just discovered the wonderful "availability tool" on the DVC booking page. I can see what's available even outside my booking window. What I've discovered is that VGF is nearly impossible to book outside the 11 month window. Does this open up more? Are some months much busier than others? I'm trying to get early or mid November.

Maybe its when you want to go as well as the accommodations.

Last year as well as this year I booked a two bedroom standard view for eight nights.

I had no trouble getting a 1 bed standard for 7 nights in July.....The whole summer seemed wide open at 7 months ..I checked for quite a while. Maybe its getting busier now??

The summer is always substantially easier to book than November.

I booked a standard view studio at VGF for 10/31 - 11/7 on the exact 11-month window and I was told they were already going fast.

If you're looking for a studio, even owners have to sometimes "walk" to get dates at 11m!

I did get 2 nights using my SSR points for a holiday weekend right at 8am at 7m. I already had the whole trip booked at 11m, but ended up having 2 separate reservations so that I can use my SSR points.

1brs are generally the last rooms available because of the point cost and occupancy compared to studios.

I recently got a 1 BR standard for October ( 2 weeknights) at 7 mos out. I think there were also 2 BR's showing as available at that time.
