VGF and Home Resort advantage isn't enough!

I had to walk my reservation for December... I didn't like that I had to. I would prefer there was a system in place to make it not necessary to walk reservations... Well, I guess there is, at VGF anyways... Buy a lot of points and book a less popular/larger room!

I'm in the market to double my points to book 1 bedrooms.

That is exactly what happened to me this year booking BWV in OCT This has NEVER happened to me before. EVER in 15yrs. so after calling and doing wait list for the week I still had to call every day to add on since I was booking 18 days...finally on about the 4th call a nice CM informed me about all the people WALKING there reservation for Thanksgiving... I was booking a MONTH before Thanksgiving for the stay I wanted I think my start day is Oct25 or so. I am not going to walk any reservation... This might be my last visit ,

Part of me wants to say "I can't believe people would be that selfish to walk a reservation a month out" but part of me is not surprised. I frankly have always found walking a reservation to be sketchy but that's just my opinion. I am just shocked, if that CM was reporting accurately, that people would be selfish enough to screw up people's trips in October/Early November just to walk a Thanksgiving ressie.

That said, not to jinx it, but we always do 1 BR's because we prefer them and have not had issues getting BCV during F&W until about the 9/10 month mark and have not had VGF issues either. But those are 1 BR's.

yes 1 Br is easier, we do BWV standard so we can stay 3 weeks, we are retired but cutting back to 18 days this year...Epoct was not as much of a draw with Off Kilter gone and the increasing prices of the little snacks and beers. We have done the Pool/garden view too but we used to do 3 weeks in March too and that really eats the points. One more Oct and seeing hopefully Osborne Lights and then might make different plans.

Same thing happened to me this year trying to book at standard view studio at BWV in Oct. We ended up having to change when our trip started by a week. Having the 3 hour time zone difference makes it real annoying to be up for the 8am online bookings. Because of that hassle getting the beginning of the reservation I called every day to add another day till we got our 4 weeks.
