With the change in wording for views at VGF for one and two bedroom villas, is there still a “lake view” option?

Room categories from the DVC point chart:
Resort view includes other areas of the resort, such as gardens or parking areas. Preferred view includes at least partial views of the Seven Seas Lagoon. Theme Park view includes at least a partial view of Magic Kingdom Park.

On the website it’ll tell you the view options under the category. Preferred is Lake View and Resort view is Views of the Courtyard, Landscaping, Monorail or Parking Area. Resort view will provide somewhat of a firework view from some of the rooms

Nothing is really changed other than name of room category. Standard view rooms are now Resort view, Lake view rooms are now Preferred view, and Theme Park view remains Theme Park view. It appears that the intent of the change is to make people believe that when reserving Resort view they are now getting something better than Standard view, when, in fact, everything is still the same.
