VGC Waitlist??

So wanting to go and stay in a studio July- 2 nights. One of the nights is available, the other is not. Having never stayed here is the possibility of a waitlist coming through a pipe dream?

Can't hurt? Give it a try but have a backup plan in mind, perhaps?

I hope you booked the one night, and then waitlisted the other night. Check regularly bc you might be able to find the day that you need before it gets swept into the waitlist system....

I got 4 nights booked at VGC. 2 nights on a fluke under 7 months. Then 1 more on waitlist. Then another night on waitlist for a total of 4 consecutive nights. It happens. It might have even been 1 night and then waitlist 2, then 1–my memory is failing me right now. So grateful!

I pulled off 3 nights one at a time on waitlist about 3 years ago. I had Sunday to Thursday booked at Paradise Pier. VGC was booked and I figured little chance. I planned to go to an airport hotel Friday night. About 2 months out, I noticed DCA was open late that Friday. So I decided to waitlist Friday in a studio. Came through in a couple weeks. Ok, so then I waitlisted Thursday, came through in a couple weeks. So then I did Wednesday, came through less than a month out. I then called Member Services and had them combined. That was it, I was out of points, I had another reservation I booked in the meantime.

The harder part was getting them to shorten the PP reservation. They would not do it because those dates were not currently available. They said ask at the front desk. I did and they reluctantly did it (room only).
