Just returning from a trip and the one major issue is early entry. The hotel or park needs to do a much better job staffing the first hour as to alleviate the crowd. As an advertised hotel benefit we should not be told (every morn) to go to the main entrance where lines are shorter. Given that it's only this hour that it occurs they should staff up for it.

I agree with you. Every time I go to early entry, the line extends beyond White Water Snacks. From my perspective it seems like they could solve this problem if they would scan tickets and hold folks behind a rope drop area (I remember doing that a few years back when Toy Story Mania was the big draw first thing in the morning).

When I was there in May, we ALWAYS went to the main gate for CA Adventure early opening. Much easier!

We were there in September, and it was the same story. I think the GC entrance is great for returning, but we don't use it to enter the park at opening (or early opening). They should fix that, but I'm not holding my breath.

I think a main part of the issue at opening is there are only 1 or 2 gates, and not a lot of open physical space down that corridor.

We only got burned trying to enter at opening through GC once - learned our lesson to go to the main gates.

I won't complain about it - it is by far the most convenient thing the rest of the day.
