VGC at 7 months out

We are closing on our DVC resale contract, hopefully, in November (it's in ROFR now). Will there be availability second week of June at the Grand Californian at 6/7 months out? I worry that by the time we close and get our member number there may not be anything and we'd love to stay within walking access to California Adventure when we go for our summer vacay instead of staying in a hotel across the street.

If you are booking right at 8am exactly on the 7 month mark, I'd say you have a chance. What size room are you looking to book? If a 1-bedroom, you may have a better chance if not exactly at the 7 month mark, but I'm not sure. We went this past June and booked a GCV studio June 17-21. Got it right at 8am exactly 7 months out. There are just so few rooms available they get snatched up real quick.

Thank you for answering. I may miss the 7 month window by a few days because we may not close until after Nov. 9. I'd like a studio but if it had to be a 1-bedroom I'd be ok with that.

I'm 4 for 4 at exactly 7 months, studio or 1 bedroom. If you are past 7 months, it gets dicey. Second week of June could be difficult, a lot of people book that because it's right after the kids get out of school.

It's a great resort. We got Paradise Pier view 3 out of the 4 times (requested the 5 specific room numbers).

Availability is limited within 24 hours of 7 months but as stated 1 bedrooms are easiest to get.

I managed to get a studio villa at exactly 7 months out, within minutes they were gone - you have to be organized and jump on it straight away!

Thanks everyone for your help! I think we may push our DL trip to the summer of 2017 if we don't close on time. I've been to DL before but my husband hasn't so I want to make it the best trip for him. Staying at VGC would definitely make it unforgettable.
