I'm not sure what the cutoff is for 2009 points, but I do know that June UY gets 2009 points.
Yes, our guide came off as rather sneaky on this issue. I wanted the June UY at GCV for the sake of getting 2009 points (she was pushing Feb, which as mentioned, would mean we'd receive no points until 2010). We actually had to shred our first set of papers on the add-on because they "accidently" sent us a contract with Feb 2010 UY. Ugh.
Still, I shouldn't complain. The 4 night cruise for four (with gratuity included) appears to be worth >$2500, and we have our 125 GCV points available without borrowing in just a couple weeks, and we got the points for $104 each ($8 off, decided we'd rather pay $104 per point with a great cruise than $96).
If you're willing to use rationalizing math... you could argue that 125 points at GCV costs $14,000.00, but
DVC took $1,000 of the top, then threw in a $3,000 cruise, then gave us another $1000 worth of points, making the purchase really cost only $9k, or about $72 a point. This is questionable logic, but it sounded good to the Mrs.

When we bought one of the early SSR contracts five years ago I think we got a worse deal. Maybe DVC has felt the effects of the real estate market a bit.
