Veterans Day Flag Retreat

I see that they do an extended ceremony on Veterans Day, with Military & Marching Band walking down Main Street. Has anyone been, and is it a pretty moving tribute worth attending? I'm guessing people probably know about it, so you need to stake out a spot if you want a good view.

I did not realize that Veterans Day represents the official end of WW I, which occurred in the 11th Hour of the 11th Day of the 11th Month, in 1918.

Any time there is a special Flag Retreat, it can be very moving. You really never know who will be in attendance. The bench spots and front row spots get taken pretty early, but we find it worth the wait for spots even a few rows back to get a good view. If you go, please report back.
