Very, Very new to DL. Do they offer resort Discounts?

WDW vet. First time visitor to DL. Are the discounts similar to WDW resorts?

More rare these days. Sometimes a couple months out, not as deep as WDW discounts. Lately not valid weekends when offered & they usually blackout potential busy days as well. Currently none on offer from the DL website.

As gottalovepluto said, they do not offer as many (or as deep of) discounts at DLR as they do at WDW for the resorts. Keep an eye on the Special Offers & Discounts webpage for general public discounts. If you're asking about AP discounts, then those are also rarer now as well. You might also look into the third party travel sites (e.g., Orbitz, Travelocity, etc.) to see if they have any discounts/offers for the on-site hotels.

Costco has a deal with a gift card and a premium character meal. You pay the same price as going through Disney Travel, but, they do have the additional items. It worked for me last time because I was wanting a character meal and the gift card was given to my DD as souvenir money.

If you book early, you can usually get AAA rooms for 10% off. Also, using Orbitz to book can result in a discount off of rack rates, since they will apply their own discount codes to your reservation.

DL is not like WDW with respect to accommodations. Most people stay offsite due to the many nice, and much cheaper hotels within walking distance of the park. Some of them are even closer to the Disneyland's maingate than any of the 3 Disney hotels. Its something you should consider since you can A LOT of money.
