Very torn about character breakfast

We have ADRs for Cape May character breakfast and also a breakfast at Kona's Cafe during our trip. Our kids are older, 12 and 13, and I don't think they'd really care if they saw any of the characters or not, so, now that they've raised the prices and all, I'm thinking it just better to enjoy breakfast at another restaurant where it's not so expensive. Does anybody have any other good breakfast suggestions that do not include characters?

I would go to O'Hana's for breakfast if it were my choice. But Kona's would be nice TONGA TOAST is great.

kona is my favorite place on the property for breakfast. WIll also say, i really enjoy the tusker house too.

The Whispering Canyon Cafe at the WL has a really great, hearty breakfast. There are some antics going on there, but the prices are less than characters meals and the same as other breakfast restaurants.

Breakfast at your OWN hotel (or room service) is always nice and relaxing.

I agree that WCC is a good option.

Boma at AKL has an awesome breakfast buffet without characters. Lots of selection and, in my opinion, very delicious.

Not sure what place is convenient for your park plans but we really liked Ohana breakfast. Family style with delicious eggs, breakfast meats, potatos and fruit. But best of all was the warm breakfast breads - one was pineapple-coconut, the other was cinnamon raisin. I'd go just for those breads. Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch were an added bonus.

Kona gets good reviews. If I wanted to pick my entrees instead of family style, I'd go there... but I'm telling you...the food at Ohana was out of this world good. And I consider myself to be picky about food.

Are there any buffets at regular prices?

I have read good reviews about Trails End Buffet at Fort Wilderness. We haven't eaten there yet but from what I understand they don't have characters. Don't know if that would be too far out of the way for you.

Another vote for Kona - - it is our only "must do" for breakfast for every trip. We've also enjoyed the breakfast at Ohana food-wise, but we had service issues and the characters took an incredibly long time to come around (we actually left before even seeing Mickey). I've also read good things about the Wave, but have never experienced it myself.
