Very simple ticket question - I think!

In all our years of going to WDW, we've never needed to know the answer to this question. Thankfully. But before we proceed I need the pros to help confirm what I think I already know. :-)

If we purchase WDW tickets, order our MBs, pick our FPs, and then have to cancel our trip at the last minute - are those tickets still good for years into the future? It appears that the fine print says that "WDW tickets expire 14 days after first use."

So, if they don't ever get used, they should still be good for whenever we can return, yes? Even if it's years away?

Thanks, guys!

Didn't they recently put an expiration date on unused tickets, like December 31, 2017?

Yes, you could still use them after that date, but you'd have to pay any increase in price.

I was just at my folks place as were chatting about our January 2018 trip (yay!) and my mom says she still has our tickets from 1990 with 1 day left on a 5-day Super Pass...these babies are OLD! lol It is just a single ticket that has four out of five dates stamped on it.

Is the ticket any good for one more day or is it toast as it's now ancient? LOL I have it here if anyone wants me to post a photo of it...

This is a description I found on Allears:

5 Day Super Duper Pass - Included unlimited admission to MK, Epcot and MGM Studios for any five days for one person. Also included unlimited admission for seven consecutive days from first use of pass to Typhoon Lagoon, River Country, Discovery Island, and Pleasure Island. Also included unlimited use of transportation linking the parks. Introduced in 1991, it replaced the 5 Day Worldpassport. Discontinued in 1994.

If there's a day left, it's still good.

The expiration date only applies to one-day tickets.

On each of our passes (mom, dad, sister, myself), we have signed them. Does that even matter? Just curious if my folks can use all four themselves even with mine and my sister's names on them.

Hmm, so they could only use the two with their names on it? Could my sister and I use our tickets, even though we are now married with different last names?

You and your sister can still use your tickets. Even though your names have changed, the tickets still belong to you.
