Sad news for Disney fans

Sad news today that Walt's nephew, Roy E. Disney died today after a battle with cancer. He was 79 years of age.

His passion for his family's business and the love of animation will be extremely missed.

I was fortunate enough to meet Roy on the Disney Member Cruise and at a few Disney fan conventions. He was a wonderful man with great talents. He loved life and the world around him.

Agreed.. He is the last Disney that had a hand in the operation. I know he sort of got the boot, but I always felt as though the company had to adhere to a certain standard because he of his presence.

He will be missed in many ways..
