Very sad food question

Almost hurts too much to ask...but what's good at the airport while you're waiting to.....leave?

We always grab McDonald's as the kids are with us, but this trip will just be adults, so I'm looking for something nicer/better/justplaindifferent.

We usually bring our food with us when we leave. Most of the time we have credits leftover to use so we bring that food along with us. Though we will usually wait until we are in the air to eat. That way it takes up some of our long (5+ hours) of flying time.

We had food from Earl of Sandwich and Boardwalk Bakery for our flight home in October.

Last time we ate our meal while waiting in Denver for our connecting flight. Bought a few drinks and ate our Disney food in the food court area.

We normally grab Chick-fil-A in the food court since we don't have them in the Seattle area and get our fill while before we head through security.

There's an Outback in the airport.

I know this because the couple across from my sister and I last time had take-out steaks they were trying to eat on the plane with no knives, and, we overheard the guy behind us laughing, saying "I want these motherfreakin' steaks of this motherfreaking plane!"

I laughed the whole way home.

We like Chick fila too! If you have time for a sit-down meal, Macaroni Grill is pretty good. That steak comment is funny!

i second bringing food. That way you're not stuck with things you might not even LIKE and are just forced to eat out of convenience. like hashbrowns from nathans. Which are very tasty at 4 in the morning but not something you'd wake up and go "well gee... i want to go to that hot dog place for breakfast"
