We normally book a package deal with Virgin Holidays but are considering booking flights and hotel separately for our next trip.

If I book our flights separately, would I need to pay the cost in full at the time of booking?

TIA

Almost always yes.
I don't know about Virgin in particular, but almost all of the (cheap) tickets are pay in advance. We have never been able to pay later and have always booked DIY.

Most airlines expect payment when you book the flights, we have booked our hotel with complete orlando and then we will book our flights this onth and they accept a 100 per person deposit
