I was trying to book a Vacation package for april 2006, with the airline employee discount. However she said that I can only book a room, with the airline rate, that I can not book a package..Huh ????

I tried explaining to her that I realise the discount only applys to the room, but tat I have been able to book packages with dinning. before, she said that was with Dreammaker, not MYW.

I am sure I saw a MYW package with dinning for Airline employees at Perx.com.


Can anyone confirm if I am right before I call back.

I was not able to book a package with dining using the travel agent discount - could only get room only (and I have asked multiple times). It could of course be different using an airline employee discount.

I think the thing with the way they are doing packages now is that they are trying to keep people paying rack rate on rooms and taking the hit in different areas (like dining). So, it's possible that this time around, they have a hard line on no room discounts with packages. We're DVC, so I'm not sure about details on packages though, sorry.

Generally package pricing cannot be combined with discounts normally applied to room only reservations.

Packages may have their own set of discounts for things like AAA or AARP, but so far these discounts have been few and far between. More often, different packages with different prices are offered when Disney wants to run a promotion.

If there is some special that they having utilizing the discount, it would probably need to be booked with them. You might want to check back with Disney again as you often get a different answer from different CMs, but as we have said - generally you can't combine discounted rooms with packages, but there are some exceptions and maybe this perx.com has an arrangement with Disney. Why not just book it with them?
