Very merry Christmas strategy

Just changed my flight to get to Disney earlier on the 20th thinking we could do MVMCP that day
But is it better to do Friday the 21? Are other parks going to be more crowded that day because of the special event, or am I overthinking this? Is it still less crowded if there is a special event going on at Magic Kingdom? I guess my question is do I go Thursday or Friday LOL.

I have tickets for the 20th and 21st so I curious to see the difference in crowds between the two days. I know the 21st of the last party and its Friday so my thought was this would be sold out. Regardless, I've been to the party the last few years and while crowded, its always fun!~

We had the same dilemma, as we arrive the 20th as well. I assumed the 21st would be more crowded since it's the last one, so we purchased tickets for the 20th...but I've been wondering if we should buy tickets for the 21st and attend then as well, because we found the non-sold out MNSSHP we attended back in September to be super crowded, and we were unable to get everything done that we'd wanted to.

Unfortunately the parties are sometime quite crowded. But go into it with a positive attitude and you’ll be fine!

We went on 12/29. We did not ride anything. We watched the parade, stage show in tomorrowland, and did character greets. We were very tired afterward. I would not want to do it on our arrival day due to being tired from travel.
