Very merry Christmas party tickets

Hello All,

We are heading to Disney World for the 1st time this November, and will be there after Thanksgiving day. Usually we dont’ book trips this far in advance. We usually book our trips 2-3 weeks in advance due to my complicated work schedule.

My understanding is the Christmas party tickets are non refundable and non transferable. There is a slight chance we may cancel/rebook so I like to leave our options open.

How long can we wait before we can buy the Christmas party tickets. Do these sell out months, weeks or days in advance?

We would go on the 25th of November.

It depends on the date, honestly. Some dates sell out faster than others, and others don't sell out at all. Being that the 25th of November date is the first party post-Thanksgiving Week, I'd buy your tickets as soon as you know you won't be canceling.

I bought our tickets for nov 25 as soon as they went on sale. We were there last year right after thanksgiving with tickets I bought months in advance and it was sold out the night we went. It really just depends. You may get lucky. But you may want to consider committing to a day as far ahead of time as possible.

OP - while party tickets are technically non-refundable and you should be prepared to treat them as such.... if you do buy them but then need to cancel at the last minute and/or change dates, it’s worth calling Disney to explain your situation and see if you have any options. I’ve had to tinker with party dates in the past and Disney has usually been accommodating. YMMV, but it never hurts to call if you run into a scheduling bind.

We got tickets to the party the morning of the parry, but it wasnt the first party or one of the popular dates. Since we were flying down from the north in winter i didn't want to book the party (our arrival date) ahead of time in case we got delayed due to weather. Booked the tickets on the plane before we pushed back in Chicago and had no trouble. As long as your date typically does not sell out early you should be able ti wait until you know for sure.
