I want to book CRT for our upcoming trip, and the only times available are at 9:15, or at 7:00 (but that's our last day at the parks, and we had been planning on spending it at Epcot. I am not sure I want the very last thing we do to be CRT). Is 9:15 too late for dinner? My oyungest will be 3, and generally speaking she is a serious night owl, but I don't want everyone to be too tired to enjoy the meal.

Should I book it and hope that something else comes up, and if not, do the 9:15?

Or maybe just skip it altogether. I really wanted breakfast, but I procrastinated too much.

What is the cancellation policy when you are booking with the dining plan?

From the sounds of it, your kids are still lively at 9:15 pm and could sit through a meal. They might need a snack depending on how early lunch is though. I would go with the 9:15 pm and just continue to call back as the date gets closer to see if anything opens up. And a credit card is required to guarantee meals at CRT. The full price of ordered meals will be charged if you cancel within one day of the reservation or are a "no show" for the reservation.

Have you figured in the time difference?

I always laugh when people say 9PM is too late for a child to be in a restaurant...I live in Washington state, 9PM in Florida is 6PM in Washington that would be close to the normal dinner hour for us ;)

All of our dinners are late when we are at Disney. For example on Sun Aug 21st we also are at CRT for a 9:25pm reservation. I have read fireworks are neat from there during dinner.

We're in Central time, so the one hour difference is moot. But that's a great point! I screwed that up on our last trip; I booked CRT for 8 am, not remembering that it is 5 am Pacific time! :sad2:

That's a good point. Either we will enjoy the fireworks from the castle during dinner, or we will miss the fireworks that day. So, we might enjoy watching them during dinner, or the kids might feel like they are missing out. Of course, I think after being used to Remember... Dreams Come True at DL, they are going to be disappointed in Wishes.
