I called Disney Dining today to obtain my confirmation number for my Narcoossee's reservation on 12/8/07 since i did not write it down when i originally made the reservation. When i contacted them i gave them my home phone number which is the only number i've ever provided them with. They couldn't find me for about 5 minutes after which i was placed on hold. After about 5 minutes more on hold, they find my reservation. It is listed with my cell phone number which I NEVER provided them with. They must have obtained the number from the caller ID the PBX terminals have and used that number for the reservation. This is weird since they asked for my phone number as they always do and i provided my home phone number only.:badpc:

This may be the reason that some people aren't able to locate their ADR's when they are either on their trip or when they call WDW Dining to update, check on or cancel an existing ADR. Next time they can't find your ADR, have them check other numbers that you may have called from.

This is why i ALWAYS take my confirmation numbers with me in case of a snafu such as this.:scared:

Interesting!!! Thanks for the heads up!!:thumbsup2

that would be a *HUGE* problem since i make ADRs for other people ALL THE TIME! and some of those people would have NO CLUE what number i called from (i.e. home, cell, office, dh's cell, kids' cells... whatever phone is charged and handy when i opt to call)

I have always used my phone number and one day we changed numbers so I called to update Disney with my new number, assuming that it would go to everything. Not so for dining.

When I called dining to cancel the August ADR's that I would no longer need, they said that I had no ADR's. :scared1: At least they were ADR's that I no longer needed but I was terrified that it could have happened on my new ones too, SO, after thinking for a minute *lightbulb* I said 'Oh! Maybe they are listed with my old number' which they were. :upsidedow

The lady told me that even though I changed my # with Guest services, it would not get automatically changed in dining because they are separate.
