I wanted to pass on this important message to everyone.

Please copy your tickets to Disney before you leave home.

We lost a ticket in the Fast Pass Machine, I forgot to withdraw it along with the fast pass and left it in the machine. when I went to get my next pass I realized I had left it behind. Panicing I went directly to the customer service office.

If you have a copy of your tickets they CAN be replaced by WDW. The serial numbers are scanned by the entrance turnstiles and can be tracked and replaced if you know the serial numbers and an approximate time that you arrived in the park.

It saved us 3 days on a 4 day park hopper ticket.

P.S. we did not have a copy but were able to track the serial numbers through our group tickets. It would have saved us alot of trouble if we had the serial numbers.

I am so glad you got your ticket back! :goodvibes Thanks for the reminder about copying tickets!

i have a copy machine here at home but the only tickets i have are the green 4 day hoppers i bought from the disney store. i have to get the actual ticket at the park (i think). do i copy this and my reciept ?
this is my first trip .

simonfam, do you mean the plastic hopper that is still attached to the part that hangs in the store? That is the actual hopper. They activate it in the register. I have orange 5-day hoppers but the serial number is listed on the bottom and the receipt as well. It begins with a date (not sure what the date means as one of mine has a 2002 date). I was glad to see these plastic credit card types as our last tickets were coated paper and really flimsy.

yes , they are green plastic ones. so i copy those ? im soooooo excited ,, wish these days would hurry up lol.

I was wondering about this too. If you buy your tickets at check-in or at the gate, where can you copy them? I wondered if the hotels have business centers with copiers or if the CMS will do it for you or what?

I don't know about day tickets, but when we exchanged our cards from the Disney Store for our Annual Passes, the Cast Member made it a point to give us three copies of the receipt with instructions to divide them among ourselves for this very reason.

If you buy your tickets at check in, they'll encode them onto your room key. A LOT easier to replace them!

As for buying at the gate, you just have to take care of them until you can get to a copy machine.

Making copies of our park hoppers right this minute, thanks for this tip.

I will keep one copy with me and give one to my ds18

If you don't have a copy machine, or buy them at the gate, can you just write down the serial number?

You could do that, but make sure you write down EVERYTHING. There's a pretty long string of numbers, dates, and times.

I think your question was answered above. Did you double post? :)

I would immediately write the SN down, but then at the first opportunity at your hotel, get a photocopy made. Most of the deluxes should have some type of business center that can help you out. Not sure about the others. Swan/Dolphin have business center(s) also.

Also!!! If you demagnetize your tickets (we did a couple of times -oops!) make sure you stop and get a copy of your new ticket numbers!!!!

Hi, guys! I am a Disney Store CM. If you purchased your parkhoppers at a Disney Store, keep your receipt! If your tickets are lost or stolen, they can use your receipt to give you credit for unused days.

On our last trip we bought our tickets at the gate. They told us to keep the receipt in a separate place, as it had all the info needed to replace the tickets as well.

Thanks for sharing this with us. Making a copy to bring along and dictating the serial numbers in my voice mail before I leave so I can retrieve them with a simple phone call. (I do this with everything, confirmation numbers, reservation numbers, insurance carrier contact info...)
