We are so excited to being staying at SSR this summer for youngest 16th birthday AND eldest high school graduation from high school. I have couple questions that I cannot seem to find answers.

1. Where do I pick-up our refillable mugs? Artist Pointe?
2. Is Artist point a quick service restaurant?
3. What is closest grocery store? We want to buy breakfast food for the mornings and healthy snacks, perks of having a kitchen!

Is there anything else I need to know as a noob staying??

Thank you friends!!

You have several options for groceries. For delivery - Instacart, Garden Grocer, Amazon Prime Now, Wal-Mart, WeGoShop, and many more. Goodings is close by (they also deliver), however we find them to be pricey with limited variety. Your other options are Wal-Mart, Publix, Winn Dixie, Target, Whole Foods, Walgreen’s, Trader Joe’s and others. You can also pick up items at a Speedway near Disney Springs) with a limited selection or Wawa (not sure of the closest location, but great sandwiches; we have dozens of locations here in the Philly area).

We have had great success with Garden Grocer, but they’re not the least expensive option.

We stayed at SSR in February and had groceries delivered from Instacart. It took bell services quite a while to deliver them due to the size of the resort.

Artist's Palette has one of the better quick service options on property IMHO. Walking to Disney Springs is the highlight of staying at SSR and of course, plenty of choices for meals and stores.
Have read so many complaints about SSR and lack of that Disney feeling, but our family loves it. Have a great time.

I thought that Goodings was closed, also be aware of the new bell services fee.

Got it!!
Bell fee is $6.00??

We are only doing the counter-service meal plan and having breakfast in our room for trip. So hear that Artist Palate is good is refreshing and my husband and eldest daughter love DISNEY Springs. Two weeks after we get home, we take my eldest daughter to college.....mamma is having a hard time, so this trip is special to me. Plus my youngest is turning Sweet 16. My babies are growing up!

Another silly question, the Minnie van? Is it $50 a trip? And do we tip??

Minnie Van is no longer a set fee you pay based on the length of the trip. I think typically the trips are less than $50. IIRC I looked at the fee from BLT to either DHS or AK and it was between $35-$40. We haven’t taken one for 1.5-2 yrs but I think we tipped at the time. Of course that’s also when it was $20 or $25 anywhere on property

For 3, we drive in and make a point of stopping at the Millenia Mall BJ's for groceries in bulk, liquor (yes it has a store attached with limited selection), and gas ( I believe there is also a Costco there now as well). For smaller items we go to the Winn Dixie on 535, there is an ABC store in that strip mall if needed.
