Hi Everyone!
This is my 3rd trip to WDW. 1st was in DEC 98 with DH/DS9/DD7. Last trip was in Feb 04 with just my younger sister. no kids or husband, that was cool.
My kids now 17 and 15 when we travel want to back!! No problem!! We'll find a way to save up for this! We will stay at Pop - Food court will be great after having lived on bread and water till then! :rotfl2:

I am going to need a lot of help/advice from all of you.
Plans (no ressies yet) so far:
12/10 -12/17 Arr WDW using ME (no car) with kids only (husband had enough of Disney)
12/16 husband flys in - gets car
12/17 go to IOA/US - 4 leisurely days will be nice as we do WDW commando style
12/21 go to Ft Myers to visit Grandma
12/24 fly home - is this nuts? flying home on christmas eve? :crazy2:

I have learned so much from all of you already, thank you!!

Nothing is set in stone yet, but that is the plan

WELCOME TO THE DIS!!! Have a great vacation.

In your case it would be cheaper to rent points at OKW(you will be paying extra adult rates for each night for one of your children and a second one for your DH) The points you would need is 82...points rent for about 10 a point=820(that is it...no taxes no additional extra adult charges). You would have a fridge, Microwave, toaster and coffee pot. This would really help with making meals in the morning or light snacks, also there is free laundry. Plus the beds are 2 Queen...way better than the 2 doubles in Values :thumbsup2 ...I realize there will probably be a discount on the Value(or you can get AAA)but add the tax, and the other charges and you are so close to this price, but the DVC is a bigger room with the added features, it is just a lot better than a value.

Also you might be better off getting a car at a site close to DTD(over the airport)

I think the flights home on Christmas Eve will be fine
Hope you have a great trip.

Do you know what I should do about my husband joining us just for the last night? I want to do the right thing, and not get in trouble! When I decide where I am staying do I just tell them that he will be staying with us for the last night? Will there be a charge for him joining us? He won't be going to any parks, we may get him a ticket to Disney Quest since none of us have been there. thanks!

AT OKW it will make no difference(4 people are covered, this was another reason why I was suggesting OKW). At a value...I would tell them...but that is up to you
