I entered two of my photographs in a local photography contest, and DD13 entered two, also. One of mine won 2nd place in the Monochrome division, and one of hers won honorable mention in the color division! I'm practically dancing over here!!

Thanks, ya'll. That's the first time anything I've done has placed. And, as a mom, I'm almost more excited for my daughter! There will be an awards ceremony in two weeks, and all the pictures entered will be on display until then.

Kind of interesting... my photography teacher from high school entered about 40 of his current student's works. He'll be there at the awards ceremony, too. I graduated 22 years ago!
