A LSS had a rummage saile this weekend. $5 to participate. I had to price my stuff, drop it off. And then pick up the leftovers.

Am getting a store credit for $71.40. I would have been happy with about $20. And to be honest - I will NEVER miss the stuff I got rid of. Not at all.

Apparently this LSS does the rummage sale every 6 months - so I think I am just going to start a box, and just price it, and put it in.

Well done! I wish we had a local shop which did that!. Actually, I just wish we had a local shop:rolleyes1:rotfl:

Which store?? I live in Northern Illinois -- maybe I can take advantage of their next sale.

Yay for you -- oh, the things I could buy with that kind of credit . . . .

WOOHOO! You wouldn't have gotten that much $ at a regular garage sale, so that is terrific. I upcycle my unwanted stuff to my cousins' girls (I consider them my nieces). They are currently about 19, 18, and 15 (or will be those ages this summer) and have been scrapping for about 6+ years now. I usually bring them a big box of stuff to share two or three times a year. They are SO grateful for everything I give them and I love seeing everything that they create.

My DD is SO not into scrapping, which is fine. I know it isn't everyone's cup of tea. But it is great to have young people in the family to encourage. And it gives me a good excuse to purge (and buy more! ;) )

I third the notion of "wishing I still had a local LSS".....................P

Good for you! I have a good amount of patterened paper I will probably not use. That would be a great way to clear it out!

I do this too - my LSS has an amazing garage sale twice a year, June and October. I had a BUNCH of stuff to sell at the last one, and ended up with a gift card for almost $300.00! I was pretty happy about that one. I ended up buying a couple of those really nice We Are Memory Keeper D-ring albums and a bunch of the multi-slot page protectors with some of my proceeds. I have been using them to organize the next group of photos to scrap and as a holding are for pages that I don't have albums for yet.

Anyway, back to the subject, I bought tags for the one in June and will be working on that. As I go through my stuff, I have a purging bucket that I throw things in and I have lots of stuff so far to sell. Hoping for some great results!

My LSS charges $20 for the set of tags and then she takes 10% of the sales proceeds as handling. I think it's a pretty good deal! I have shopped there during the sale, and have picked up some great organizational stuff for a pretty decent price!
