I am so excited to check out Trend-D when I go in May. When Julie said she was buying all Taylor's birthday presents there I knew my niece would love their stuff too, but then I checked out Corey's pictures and there is SO much cool stuff in that store! The clothes really aren't for me, but I saw alot of other stuff I liked! Purses, mugs, notepads, jewelry, ect...I sent a link of the pictures to my niece and she is making a list for me! She even said she is going to give me money to get her some things she saw .... which is really saying something because she is saving all her money right now to buy some fancy new phone she wants.

I'm so glad Disney did something different and didn't outsource this. Finally, finally something different instead of the same thing in every store. I snorted when Pete said "So Jay Rasulo doesn't know this store has opened."

Me too, me too! This looks so neat...but now I not only have to save up for another trip, I have to save up money for souvenirs! I usually don't buy much, but this whole store was full of stuff I would want, and it just looks fun to walk through :cool1:, thanks for the great review and pictures Corey and Julie!

I was just coming on to post about Trend-D. I visited it last Monday when I was at the World and absolutely loved it. It is now one of my favorite stores at all of WDW. Even though we spent a decent amount of time there, I missed out on some of what Julie described. There's just so much to look at while in there that it is almost overwhelming...in a good way.

I agree that this is one of the few unique stores left at WDW. I am praying like crazy that it does not become homogenized like most other stores. I did want to mention that there were a few smaller items that appeared at another store on property. Because I absolutely adore WDW watches and get at least one every trip, I was considering purchasing one from Trend-D. These were larger face watches and very stylish IMHO. The one I was going to buy, in particular, had a white large face with Mickey head icons in turquoise and some smaller ones in silver glitter. Here's the link to a pic of it from Julie's store review.

I did see this watch and a few similar ones at the clothing store at Hollywood Studios (the one on the corner; it's on the left side as you walk down the street). The Mickey plaid line is also available at this clothing store, Tren-D, The Emporium, and a few resort gift shops. The Alice in Wonderland tea and tea set is available at The Emporium and kitchen store at DTD. I actually bought some of the tea myself. The Tink zip-up sweatshirt and matching lime green pants was available in a few stores along with Disney's Earport in Orlando Airport.

Let's cross our fingers that not too many more items appear at other stores. I really, really loved Tren-D and was so excited to see it last week. I'm looking forward to going again.

I was looking at the very same watch Nikki. I loved the color and the face of it. Only thing is I hate strap watches, I only wear the "cuff" style now, easy to take on and off.

Just curious...did you notice the price of the clothes, like the t-shirts? My niece loved the "Cuter than U" Mickey t-shirt. Just wondering if they are pricier than other t-shirts on property.

I want EVERYTHING in that store! It was all so adorable! I especially want that stuffed floral-pattern Mickey. It would look awesome on my red couch!

Thanks Julie for the Store Tour and welcome back! Ferris made some adorable noises on the podcast. He and my baby boy are only about a month apart.

Y'all are so welcome! We had a great time covering the store!

Keystone Clothiers in DHS has quite a few of the same cute t-shirts and some of the same cute bags that Trend-D has. I got some really cute Tinkerbell pajamas at Trend-D but was on the fence about the shorts that could go with the pjs. So since they made it so easy for me to get the shorts while in the park I had to get them. :)

I'm a little scared of the mugs. I collect Disney mugs and it looks like there are lots of cute ones in Trend-D. I haven't been buying too many mugs in recent trips since everything went so generic, but I think I might to bring a little extra cash for mugs this time.

Julie and Corey thanks so much for the pictures! I have not had a chance to listen to the show yet, but the photos look so awesome! I remember years ago that the parks had cool stuff like this, but in recent years not so much. I am glad that I planned a day of shopping with my Mom to DTD, with no baby!!lol I hope to listen to your review later today, welcome back!:goodvibes

I am going to take olivia there when we go. :yay:
She is 16, love to shop, and we will have a great time at this store. :dance3:
Olivia is our babysitter that will be with us after the cruise. :)

I can understand that about the watches, but these are just oh so worth it! I bought a pink one (not shown here in the pic) with a pink leather strap and the face was a heart with a very cool artwork-like pic of the castle. It also had tiny rhinestones around the edge of the heart. I absolutely love it! I also adore the watch from the promo. Getting a new WDW/Disney watch has been my thing over the past few years so this was right up my alley. I am hoping that they still have these watches in November when I am there again. I plan on buying at least the blue one if not another! :rolleyes1:banana::dance3:

The clothes, from those I looked at anyway, were typical WDW prices. Hooded sweatshirts on property range from $39 to $59. T-Shirts anywhere are $15.95 and up. The things I looked at were in the similar price range for the standard WDW merchandise. I know that some of the specialty items were more expensive including the jewelry, accessories, etc. The things that are not available at any other WDW store were probably more expensive also and for that very reason!

I really enjoyed Kathy's blog post and Julie's review of the new TrenD store at DTD. I'm always looking for unique merchandise at Disney and this sounds like things that could be added to my wardrobe that say "Disney fan" in a little more subtle, stylish way. I'm sure this will really be a hit with the tween girls that have outgrown the BBB/princess stuff. The pics were great! They remind me of Anthropologie with a Disney flair.

Just a couple of questions -

1. Does anyone know if they accept Key to the World cards to charge payments back to your room bill? Also do they accept Disney Visa Rewards points?

2. Do they have posters or prints of any of the pop-art available for sale? Some of the artwork looks really cool!

3. What are the size ranges available for the adult and girls clothes?

Thanks! Already daydreaming about shopping there in Sept.! :cloud9:

Yes, thank you to Kathy for the post and Julie for the podcast regarding the new store, can't wait to visit Trend-D in June and spend WAY too much money there!:rotfl:

Someone take pity on me, I'm a podcast newbie! I listened to the report -- but where do I find the pictures?

TIA!
Maria

I just absolutely CAN'T WAIT to go shopping here. I'm a big fan of the Disney Couture brand :love:and have a really hard time finding it anywhere here (in fact, I have a hard time finding ANYTHING Disney here lol) so I already warned DBF that I am going to be in this store for a while! Plus I'm a huge purse junkie so I'm sooo excited to get in there and see what they've got!!!! :hyper:
