Very early PTN on November 12th?

Planning our upcoming trip in November and noticed that on our first day at DL (Thurs. November 12th), PTN is at 6pm and DF is at the usual 9:30pm. The days before and after all have the usual 8:45 PTN and 9:30 DF. Does anyone know why this would be scheduled differently? I wanted to do what I did in July and watch PTN and then fold into Main St for DF. Not a big deal, but curious :) Thank you!

November 12th begins the Avengers Half Marathon weekend (it's from 11/12 - 11/15), so maybe some of the events taking place that first day/night make it difficult to have a later PtN. I'm just guessing, though -- I really don't know.

I noticed the same thing and wondered if it was even dark enough at 6pm to appreciate it.

Mice Age reported that this is a new schedule that is being tested to see if it gets more people to leave earlier, rather than everyone waiting for the standard showings of PTN and DF. TDA is hoping that this new schedule will help alleviate holiday crowding, especially with the new Star Wars things opening in Nov.

TDA could have helped alleviate holiday crowding by not starting Season of the Force in November! They could have waited until "early 2016," which is when it was originally said to be starting (in the Parks Blog). And now they want to alleviate the crowds they are creating by running an early parade? :lmao: That's kooky! :lmao:

NO JOKE! They seem so conflicted. One department seems to be charged with causing crowding, while another seems charged with relieving it!

Seems to me they sort of want the best of both worlds....... the cash coming in at the turnstiles, but then get the heck out! :rotfl:

Just realized that we'll have to stake out a spot twice now rather than once to watch both. Boo!

Second guessing my choice to go in November now.

There is talk about adding a second fireworks show, too, so you might not have to stake out a spot twice. Unless, of course, you decide to see both parades and both fireworks shows twice anyway.

Sunset is already happening around 6:15. It happens about a minute earlier each day until Winter Solstice. PLUS, Daylight savings time ends at 2am on Nov 1, so the sun will be setting around 5pm by Nov 12th.

As for crowding at the parks, I for one would love to see the end of runDisney. That would eliminate some massive crowding in the middle of November. Plus, I hate running. Did you know the latin root word for running means "of the devil"?
