I went on Saturday. It was my first time there.

$19 for spaghetti and two measley meatballs??? And it was a la carte, so no soup or salad. So $19 bucks for just a plate of spaghetti and two awful meatballs.

I've been to many Disney restaurants in my life, and many have been fabulous. This one was definitely the worst of them all for food quality and value. The restaurant decor was nice, and we had a great window seat. But talk about highway robbery.

i'm sorry to hear that. we had a fabulous lunch there on saturday. it is more reasonably priced for some of the same dishes. we've only ever eaten there for lunch, but we've never been disappointed. we usually get the antipasta salad (gone from the menu this time) and the biana pizza. however this time we got the meatball sub (meatballes were ok, not the best thing on the menu) and a grilled chicken panini sandwich. both came with a small side salad. we also ordered breadsticks and *begged* for the pesto sauce that that only serve at dinner...we got a small cup of it!! so yummy. try it again for lunch sometime!!

We felt exactly the same way two years ago. Then it was $18 for the spagetti and meatballs and it wasn't even very good. That is the one restaurant that we never went back to. DD didn't even like the pizza and she's not exactly a gourmet eater.

Welcome to the disappointed club with regards to Tony's. Probably our all time worst meal in 3 trips to WDW! :scared: :crazy2:

So sorry to hear you didn't enjoy Tony's. We love it there! We have always had good experiences there. Especially a few weeks ago! One question, aren't the prices on the menu? What I mean is why did you order a $19 bowl of spagetti!LOL!!! I never order that there because it is way over priced like you said. Even if it was the best it still wouldn't be worth $19 to me!!LOL
We always go for lunch, usually the first seating. We love the breadstick appetizer, flat bread pizzas, and the kids liked the Mickey ravioli. Our server was great and we had a great window seat. While we love it here, I wouldn't call it a gourmet restaurant and there are better places on property. But we all(2 adults, 2 kids) ate a sit down lunch for around $40!!

I ordered it because I had heard it was good and that they were sort of "famous" for their spaghetti and meatballs, themed after the scene from Lady and the Tramp, etc. It was also the cheapest dish on the menu.

My sister ordered a baked chicken with prosciutto dish which looked pretty good. I probably should have ordered that.

I ordered the NY steak based on the recommendation of my server, he said it was "the best thing on the menu", well he lied! It was a tough steak and over cooked. He basically disappeared during our meal and wasn't interested in checking on us or refilling anything. My kids discribed their pizza as "nasty" and DH had the overpriced spaghetti and didn't care for the sauce. But my biggest "beef" with Tony's was the seating. We had a 5:00 PS (right when they opened), I understand they had to seat people incrementaly at opening but when you have a PS, and the restaurant is basically empty WHY DO THEY TRY TO SEAT YOU BY THE KITCHEN DOOR? The hostess very reluctantly moved us a couple of tables away but still in the back. I will not return there for all of those reasons. There are too many good restaurants where we were treated much better and had better food.

The quality of Tony's has really gone down in the past few years. It was much better there 5 years ago than it is now.

We went twice last year and were disappointed both times, so we won't be returning.

You're complaining about a $19 dinner at WDW ?????...............this is the same place that charges $5 for a bottle of soda that cost $1 at the local WaWa.........$19 is a bargain.............

I think you may have been expecting TOO much out of a plate of spaghetti and meatballs..........I don't know of too many places that can turn that dish into a gourmet dining experience................

We love Tony's. I'm sorry to hear that others have had bad meals there :(. I had the lamb shank last year and it was great! My DD had the kids spaghetti and I liked the meatball. Tony's seems to be a love it or hate it kind of place.

We had lunch there in August for the first time and thought it was great! I had the baked Ziti for $11.99 and hardly put a dent in it there was so much! We split a Tiramisu for dessert and it was just enough for the 4 of us as we were already stuffed!

We have our "big meal of the day" aka "sit down meal" during the lunch hour. Not only are the portions the same, the price is almost half of what you pay at dinner time. The same meal you paid $18.49 for is $11.99 at lunch time.

I tried Tony's once two years ago. Its on my "never again" list.

Sorry to hear you didn't have a good experience here. We've yet to eat here and really haven't had much interest to do so -- partially because of the plentiful reviews I've read similar to yours.

I am glad there have been so many on here that have liked Tony's. You have to add my wife and I to the "never again" crowd though. Worst food for the money out of all the WDW restaurants we have tried.

Yep, hated it...I too fell for the best NY strip mistake...charred and any decent server would have recognized right away that this $25+ steak was nowhere near medium rare....It could have been used as a discus at the Olympics. Our server never came back to check either...it took over 45 minutes to receive our meal after placing the order...which took 20 minutes to even see a waitress once we were seated....I guess they had to make sure that slab of meat was petrified. I tried to eat some of the kids meals because I was starving...and theirs was just as bad....NEVER again!

Up until August we were some of its biggest fans and supporters. We'd go at least once, and probably twice a trip. When we'd wake up here at 430am to catch a flight, we'd say that at least we'd be having lunch at Tony's. After an experince there with everything bad that people have said about it, it's off the list, and will be for us for a long time. Trying the Plaza Cafe first this trip.

Our family had our first visit to Tonys on Sat 11-27. Worst meal of our trip. Its now on our never to visit again list.

I hope you enjoy it as much as we do! Ask if Chris is working - he is a great Cast Member and has been working there for quite a while.

If you're into milkshakes, you might want to split one with somone in your party. My kids love them!

You can add me to the list of people who would not return here to eat. We went there for lunch on our trip last year and it was by far the worst meal we had. I had pasta with Bolognese sauce, which tasted like it had been sitting out all afternoon, and then reheated. Our server was nowhere to be found most of the meal, and was not very pleasant when he was around. Overpriced, bad food with poor service meant that we would not be returning.

We tried Tonys for the first time in Oct. It was good but nothing to write home about. But definitely not our worst meal. We like Mama Melroses at MGM for Italian. IMO it is better than Tonys or Italian at Epcot.
