very disappointed with boardwalk

There is no excuse for checking into a room that is not clean. However after reading the horrible room reports lately at DVC resorts I am beginning to think members are harder on the rooms than those that stay in the traditional rooms at the nonDVC resorts.

I am beginning to be in favor of a checkout system and the member being held accountable for the condition of the room at checkout, like most time share properties do.

A clean room at checkout would mean less time for housekeeping to turn the room over for the next guest.

If the damage to the units decreased due to this policy, upkeep and expense would also decrease.

If you wanted that perfect view on vacation, you should buy a fixed week timeshare! That way you would have the view you want all the time!

But - the problem I have is why these rooms are sitting filthy? The OP didn't like their first room, during high season, I would be happy with anything. The front desk should have never moved them without carefully checking out the situation. How do we find out what the problem is with housekeeping, because its not just one resort? But did I read this right that they didn't even end up staying there, left and went somewhere else???

Our Thanksgiving stay at BWV was great, no problems with checkin other than we were assigned a non-smoking room when we'd asked for smoking. DH did smoke on the balcony so I really didn't mind ;)

We had a standard view and I really liked our view better this time than when we had preferred where we could see the pool. It was great! We have points are BWV and I'm glad we also get a better chance at a standard view :)
