I need transportation from the Rosen Center, a hotel, near the Convention Center to the Pop Century on July 23. I have emailed both FlTours and Tiffany Towncars and neither has seen fit to return my emails. I feel like they are ignoring me because I use an electric wheelchair and don't want to deal with that. At least they could have the courtesy let me know they can't handle such a transfer instead of ignoring my emails.

I don't think their lack of response is anything other than them not responding to e-mail promptly. I've had this happen with certain towncar companies. And, I have this problem with the airlines all the time. They never, ever respond.

I e-mailed Southern Elegance Limousines and Magic Transportation and they both replied within an hour. I don't expect those kinds of quick responses. That is amazingly quick. I figured a day or two probably.

It's already been 3 days for both of them. I prefer to use email because quite often companies hang up on relay calls. Even Disney has done that to me. Being hard of hearing voice to voice communication is difficult at best and near impossible at other times.

I just used Quicksilver. They were very responsive, perhaps they can provide the necessary service.

Well, I can't speak for Tiffany but FL Tours does have sporatic problems with email. I emailed them about 3 weeks ago because I have multi-day pickups for my Vow Renewal, requiring van and towncar transfers for 15 of my family/friends. When I called Andy about not receiving a reply he indicated that he never received my email. This will be my fifth trip using them and I would not book with anyone else. If you would like to PM me with the day and time you would be calling them I would be happy to call Andy and let him know and explain TTY/relay to him.

I've recently reserved with Magic City and they got back to me within an hour when I emailed mid-week.

I would try Quicksilver, we used them for our June trip after having communication problems with the first company we had booked with. They were very quick to respond to any questions I had, and their service was fantastic. I did some research before I booked with them and I did not see any complaints about them. Good luck!

Talking Hands; from my experience, the Towncar companies are not equipped to deal with those of us in Wheelchairs (my 7 yr old DS is wheelchair bound, but has a nice easy and light manual). I emailed FLTours, Happy Limo and Tiffany asking about wheelchair transportation; of those I got one email response, from FLTours with a hyperlink to Mears (tho I believe Happy Limo called and said they are not equipped for wheelchair transfers). Now this was almost a year ago, so perhaps things have changed.

But quite frankly, I have almost always had great service from Mears' wheelchair vans, so maybe that's the way to go.

Best of luck!

Great so I will probably be stuck with Mears taxi service as my only way to get from one place to the other. The most efficient and most expensive way as they are metered. Not pleased with this. I would prefer a flat fee for the transfer but if Mears has a monopoly on transporting handicapped guests I guess I will be stuck with being ripped off.

Tiffany is not very good with email, but they are great with driving. I would call them (or have someone call for you).

I'm always confused when people with websites don't promptly respond to emails.

Mears has roundtrip fares from MCO to your hotel and back. This is not a metered service. I can't speak for using them throughout your stay however. Sorry you haven't been able to find a towncar service, they must not have the equipment necessary to transport your vehicle. If you are looking for transport from MCO to your Disney hotel and back only, have you called Disney's Magical Express? It seems that they would be able to transport your vehicle given they are running Mears vehicles.

I am not going from MCO to a resort but from one hotel to a Disney resort. I have a business convention first before I head for Disney. Would be easier if they had the business convention on Disney property. They did it once but not this year.

We simply hired Mears on a flat fee basis in the past, much like a towncar. We found it quite affordable. I think that's available everywhere and not just for airport transportation, but a quick email should uncover the truth (if they respond any better than the towncar companies).

And I know what you mean about everything being more convenient and easier once you are on-site.

Good luck!

I don't know if you are still looking but we always use ********.net. They have been terrific...and reasonable!!

Well as of today only one company has seen fit to contact me directly about my request for transportation from the Rosen Center to Pop Century. Emil of ******** contacted me, but unfortunately because of the weight of the power wheelchair is unable to help. I do appreciate his courstesy and help. I was able to also get in contact with FLTours through a very sweet DISer and they cannot help either. It appears that Mears has a monopoly on this type of transportation and I will contact them. Thank you to ******** and FLTours for your courstesy even though you are unable to help. I will recommend you to my friends who do not have need of wheelcahir accessible transfers.

After trying to contact almost a dozen transporation companies and getting few responses through email or relay. (they just hung up on the relay calls) I am driving my own car to Orlando and will not be using a limo service. I am extremely disappointed in how I was treated and recommend that if you are handicapped you plan on using ME because limo services in Orlando are incapable of servicing handicapped people and really don't care to even to be polite to them.
I did get one limo service who answered but they wanted $90 for a one way trip from the Rosen Centre to Pop Century which I found out is all of a 15 minute trip. No way I was paying that. What a rip off!
