Am I the only person who saw 2014's list of Table Service locations and was utterly disappointed? If you're making us pay $110 dollars a night per person, that list is a complete catastrophe. Has anyone else seen any complaints about 2014's list?

Please make sure you check the 2014 Dining Plan sticky thread. The list for 2014 is not complete. It currently has only the restaurants that are operated by Disney.

This happens every year. People get all up in arms when the list is far from complete. It's hard to wait, but all will be clearer when the restaurants complete their final contracts toward the end of the year. With very few exceptions, it is likely that the list from this year will be fairly accurate.

I forgot that they do that.

But then I don't understand why Disney either doesn't wait until the list is complete to post or get the list done earlier. I can base my plans off of last year's list, but when something I want isn't on the list or it moved categories, I always get disappointed.

I guess that besides Disney transportation, Disney dining is the next most inefficient thing on the property.

Because they cannot offer the third-party restaurants on the DDP until their contracts are renewed.

In which case they would have to hold up releasing ANY dining plan information until December. They've apparently guessed that this will be more problematic than releasing a partial list. Nor does it seem they can come up with a way to officially state that more restaurants will be added later, because they can't guarantee that until the contracts are renewed.

Historically, there was only one instance of a third party restaurant dropping out of the dining plan (Fulton's in 2006). In 2012, Fulton's signed back on (along with all of the DTD TS restaurants that did not previously accept the dining plan).

Go ahead and make your plans. Have one or two back ups. It is unlikely you will have to change anything.
