VERY Disappointed in Club Cool.

Once again Disney screws up a good thing. Ice Station Cool was neat. The big igloo with snow and water mister and frozen man was great! The new Club Cool is a BIG let down! The new "hip" music stunk. It was TOO LOUD and this comes from someone with huge audio systems in every vehicle and a 23 speaker home theater setup. It seems they are trying to make it resemble a night club? Nowhere close, just annoying. Plus Thailand, Costa Rica, and China flavors were all gone. We went there RIGHT before it was shut down, and they were there when we went there.
I'm truly disappointed in disney's attempt at this one.

DH and I completely agree. We walked in, looked around and thought WTH??? It seemed like half the flavors were missing.

If they had to re-do it, why not something similar to the World Of Coke place in Atlanta. We saw that on a food network special and it looks cool.

That's disappointing to hear. The last time we were there construction was still going on. I was hoping for good news.

There were only 3 Flavors IN THE PLACE!!! I was there in May and the same flavors were there, whats going on with that place?

Did they still have the 'Beverly' flavor? I am one of the strange ones that actually like it, and I enjoy watching others try it and cringe. Ok fine.. so I'm easily amused

When we were there in July, most of the old flavors were still there. I think there was one that wasn't working, but I found it on another machine. With that said, I totally agree with the OP. Club Cool stinks.

I guess the real question is who determines what flavors are there, Disney or Coke.

I read your post, then I read your tag!

My guess is that they figured they would get a bad rap if they did away with it completely, so they turned it into a spot where people don't want to linger. While turning it into a place like the beverage room at World of Coca Cola would be awesome, that would really take a chunk out of concession sales.

I've been in the new club cool a few times and never noticed loud music but it doesn't matter since they're always out of the BEST flavor there anyway....

I know this sounds nuts but this was my 4yo DD fav at EPCOT. She would run there every time we were at Epcot.

Does anyone have any idea why they seem to always be out of flavors?? We were there in April AND august and both times they were out of mostly everything. You would think they would have figured out how much to order by now...

I have been to Epcot 3 times since the change was made, into Club Cool. It has been missing the same several flavors every single time I went in there...which was on different days, at different times of day. BORING.

Oh nooo! No more Beverly?? I have been snubbed. It's a travesty good soda sampling everywhere.

Let's all bow our heads... Never again shall we see the puckered faces of would be soda tasters. Never again shall I hear the 'Blech!' of those caught unawares of it's flavor. Never again shall I hear a mother yell "OMG what was that?!?!" at her child who is now laughing because they too felt the same way when they tasted it, but they "Got mom" with it.

Alas, I shall have a void in my trips now. IT was there ever since the closed the attraction but I had hope to one day hear the 'blech' of tourists once again…


Ok that was a bit overdramatic, but it really sounds like the attraction is not worth the stop.

I agree. We were so disappointed in the changes and the lack of soda flavor choices.

We loved walking through the Igloo!

That used to be one of the places that we would alway go into in EPCOT, but since it has been changed to Club Cool we have been in twice - first time right after it opened, and another with family who were visiting. I also did not like the loudness of the music on the two occasions we went in!

Beverly was there, china was gone. Thailand was gone. Costa Rica gone. Japan was there, but it was out at many of them as were many of them.

The only good point was I did like that you could now exit from the front, and that the big light in the center of the room was OK. Otherwise, I was disappointed in the changes.
I also noticed I had to wait in lines much more than usual to get any and even then I felt rushed.
