Very Confused About AP Extension

Subject states the facts. ;) I am confused.

Had a 7-day hopper. On December 2nd of 2019, I upgraded to a DVC AP. That would have gone through December 1, 2020.

Had a trip planned for May. Obviously that is not happening. We do not really want to go to Disney until things normalize. Having said that, I would prefer for the upgrade cost not to go to waste.

I read in March they would extend the AP for the number of days the parks are closed. My AP expiration still shows December 1st. Now I am seeing people are asking for a refund. I do not see anything official on the website when I login. Should I call Disney or did I just miss a memo somewhere?

It is my understanding that the new expiration date will be available/updated when they have a definite opening date.

You have two options. BOTH are based on the numbers of days the parks are closed. So they exact refund amount or number of extension days is not known yet.

1. Once total days closed is known. Add that amount of days to your AP expiration date.
2. Once total days closed is known. Refund the pro-rated amount based on Ap cost of year/days closed = refund amount.

If paid in full, the default option is the extension. If interested in the partial refund, you must call the Passholder hotline at 407-939-7277.

By my very rough estimates the DVC AP is about $2 per day in order to get a ballpark if you opt for the refund method.
