Hi. We're visiting over a busy week (Pres. Day) so do I need to basically reserve every TS meal, including breakfasts? It may be a bit boring, but we'll do most of our meals (unless I can get a sitter!) at the Poly, so should I just alternate reserving Ohana and Kona? Wondering, too, about room service there?

Lastly, what happens if we don't show up for a reservation? Any consequences to the balance of the reservations for the week?

Thanks so much.

Why can you only eat at the Poly? Kids are welcome at all Disney restaurants (except V&A). I hope you'll get to branch out and try some of the other restaurants on property, they all have something worth trying :goodvibes

As far as your question, the only restaurants that have penalties for not showing up are the ones that require at CC guarantee when you make the ADR (CRT, HDDR, Princess Dining in Norway etc). If you are going to not make an ADR, please cancel it so other guest have a chance to get in. You can go to any Guest Relations or call Disney Dining to cancel or change your ADR's.

Walk out to the monorail and go to The Grand Floridian for breakfast or dinner. It will be worthwhile. 1900 Park Faire is really nice and they do two totally different character meals there.:cool1: We love the dinner meal so we can see Cinderella and Prince Charming. Don't forget the monorail also goes to the Contemporary and has Chef Mickey's and other sit down resturants. You aren't limited to the Poly. Although I love Ohana's and Kona Cafe. A short trip on the monorail gets you to other places too. Good luck with your planning ADRs.:)

Even though I LOVE the Poly, I think you need a little variety too. Tell us what parks you are going to visit & there are many people here to offer suggestions! Or maybe there is some reason you want every meal at the Poly -- scheduling around nap time?

Anyway, if I were you, I would plan breakfast at Captain Cooks or purchase a few items for breakfast at the resort store such as milk & pastries. (If you are driving, or have a little room in suitcase, we usually pack small cereal boxes, breakfast bars, peanut butter and bagels & buy milk from the resort). Captain Cooks is the counter service and no reservation needed. A casual atmosphere, you can take the items back to your room or eat it there.

Breakfast at 'Ohana and Kona is fun. Definately need an ADR at the character breakfast at 'Ohana. Sometimes you can wing it at Kona. Dinner -- yes make reservations but there are several other restaurants on the monorail line (GF & Contemporary) which are easy to get to.

I've glanced at the in-room menu. Looks good -- but very expensive. I've never ordered it, but certainly is an option. The meals are right from 'Ohana or Kona and both are good.

Have fun -- :thumbsup2

Hi. Thanks so much everyone. The reason for my specific questions is that our 5-year-old is special needs and our 2-year-old is kind of a maniac, so I was trying to keep the meals pretty easy and low stress as far as travel. I think we can definitely manage some monorail trips over to CR and GF -- thanks for suggesting these.

I would never "no show" on purpose but with our situation tantrums can strike at any moment and we need to stay as flexible as possible. I'll just carry the ADR # w/ me so that we can cancel last minute if needed.

Hoping for one special dinner out -- maybe at WL or CR.

Thanks again!
