So, this is the DIS.

You people are really something.

As you can see, I'm a big fan of the oceangram program. It's fun to send out messages on the virtual ocean and wonder where they'll end up. I also hold out hope that one I've seen before will come back to me again.

And what do you people do?

Interrupt the ebb and flow with all of your DIS talk.

Hijack messages and make them all about you and the DIS, regardless of what the original topic was.

Rather than appreciate the beauty of a bottle floating in the ocean, holding a message that may wash ashore anywhere, you come back here, like pre-teeny girls and giggle and huddle together and basically undermine the whole point of oceangram.

What don't you get about it?

Please don't make it an extension of the DIS. That's not what it's meant for.

You have enough room here to act like little kiddies.

Or maybe it should be *giggle giggle* See you in the ocean!

oceangramlover - welcome to the DISboards. This oceangram is such a tiny blip on the radar compared to what all we have to offer here. We're not out to "hijack" or hurt anyone. We're just enjoying it for the moment.

By the way, I have received several bottles where others have hijacked the original message - and the hijacker is not from any forum. It happens. I enjoy reading all of the messages and seeing where the bottle has been. And, if it comes from a fellow DISer, I make note of it.
