Ok, I'll admit it. I'm a 40-something mom and I LOVE this show! I'm not much of a tv person--but when I hear good things about a show, I tend to buy or rent the dvd's and watch 'em all at once. I don't like to wait for each week's episode. I did this with Lost, as well.

So, I started out watching just an episode a day. Then, I was home ill and watched 4 or 5 episodes in one day and THEN--well, if I didn't have other responsibilities I think I would have just stayed home and watched this as a full-time job. (I annoyed the heck out of dh and he's SO glad I finally finished watching them!) I just got addicted. :teeth:

And NOW I have to wait for Season Two to come out. Actually, of both Veronica Mars AND Lost. :teeth:

Any other Veronica fans out there?

I love it too! I am 32, and I only really look forward to watching VM, Lost, and Supernatural. I watch other stuff, but I don't anticipate anything else nearly as much!

I love the show but have not watched it recently due to other commitments.....so I have not been keeping up..

So is the show in what season now...?? is it currently showing new ones??

or has it finished ...

by the way, what happened on the last show of last season ....

TIA

My wife and I have over 95 years between us, and we love the show. Good, smart television wins, regardless of the age of the star.

Another VM fan here! I caught the first season in re-runs last summer and have been a faithful watcher of the 2nd season. It's such a great show.

I hope it survives the WB/UPN merger and makes it onto CW. I read online that Kristen Bell seems confident it will & I hope she's right!!

DH loves VM - he was totally wiped out last night and ready for bed at 9, but he "had" to stay up to watch VM. ;) I wouldn't say that I love it, but I certainly think it's a clever, well-written, well-acted show. Veronica gets some very witty, intelligent comebacks in each episode that always crack us up!

Well, since I just watched it the other day, I can catch you up. :teeth: Veronica finally pieced it together that it was Logan's dad, Aaron, who killed Lilly. She found out because of the camera in the poolhouse--she found the tapes in Lilly's airvent that showed the two of them together. There was a big party going on at the Kanes and Duncan was supposed to watch Aaron while Veronica took the tapes to her dad. Aaron, however, overheard the two of them and knew they were on to him. He was in the backseat of Veronica's car. She slammed on the brakes, sending him into the windshield and knocking him unconscious. She ran to a nearby house but Aaron broke in, killed the guy who lived there, and ended up locking Veronica into an old fridge. She had thrown the tapes into an old washing machine before he caught her.

Keith came to rescue her when she wouldn't answer her cell. Aaron and Keith fought--which ended with Aaron somehow catching the area on fire. Keith ran through the fire and rescued Veronica suffering a lot of burns. While this was gone, Aaron ran into the road and was hit by a big truck but didn't die. Aaron was arrested and Jake Kane was also arrested for obstruction of justice.

Veronica had found out earlier that her mom had skipped out of rehab and found water bottles filled with alcohol. She told her mom to leave and her mom stole the $50K check that Keith had finally collected for finding Duncan when he ran away. That really ticked me off.

While Veronica was at the hospital--she didn't want to leave her dad alone so called Wallace's mom to come stay with him--so they were back together at the end of the episode.

The episode ended with a knock on the door--Veronica answered and said, "Oh, I was hoping that it was you."

Told you guys I was a freak about this show. :teeth: The first season is on dvd--I believe it's the second season that's airing now and probably ending pretty soon.

I swear, if I got myself addicted to this show and it doesn't make it to the new network, I'm going to have a hissy fit! It's so hard to find shows nowadays that don't assume the viewers are morons.

I have watched this show from the beginning.

It has an excellent cast, great writing and an interesting story line. My husband and I are definitely outside the demographic for this show - I'm over 40 and he's over 50. It doesn't matter when the show is as interesting as this one is.

I hope that it's picked up when The WB and UPN merge. This show has filled the void left when Buffy the Vampire Slayer went off the air.

I love this show. It better make the move over to the CW or I will be very unhappy. I don't think I can lose Alias and VM in the same year.

For those of you who like Veronica Mars, try Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I never watched that show until it was off the air, but I got season one from the library and DH and I flew through all seven seasons. I could not imagine having to wait for next week's episode.

I couldn't agree more. I watched BTVS from the beginning and it only got better with age. I now own all the seasons on DVD and pull them out frequently to have on while scrapbooking.

Thank heavens I'm not the only "grown-up" who likes this show! My 15 yo dd wandered in when I was watching it one day and said, "YOU like this show?" in terms of great disbelief. :lmao: I told her, "I used to be cool, you know." :cool1:

Bumping. :Pinkbounc

I just finished wachting a great show and wondered if anyone else did so I did a search.

I didn't start until this season, but I am hooked.

This summer my neighboor was saving how her oldest daughter was friends with the actress (she grew up around where I live and went to a school close by here.) I tried last season but was lost. I started from the get go and I am loving it.

And I am out of college, way out of college (but DH does't seem to be, but he teaches so I guess he has a reason for it.)

I might have to netflix season 1.

I haven't watched the show in a long time but, I loved that show too. My brother worked on it as a costumer for a few episodes and they gave him a shirt that says Veronica Mars is my homegirl. I wear it at home all the time.

Wow--this is an old thread. I saw the title and thought, "Hey, a Veronica thread!" Then realized that I was the OP. :rotfl2:

Since I watched part of the episode last night, I was wondering if anyone else thought it was kind of weird to have Patty Hearst play a rich woman who was abducted. :confused3

I don't know--I'm not finding this season as interesting as the first two. I'm SO over the whole serial rapist thing. And the banter just doesn't seem as interesting.

What do you think?

I think Patty Hearst must have a good sense of humor about her abduction/supposed brainwashing to have participated in this episode.
I don't like this year as much as year 1, or even the twisty, convoluted year 2. The serial rapist case is really strange - I find it hard to believe a college campus wouldn't do more if that was really going on, and the local law enforcement would be more respectful of the campus and would be more involved.
I wonder if VM will even make it to a 4th year. CW might keep it around b/c it doesn't have anything else to put on that would get the same amt. or more viewers. I am a much bigger fan of Supernatural this season (which both DH and I think is closer to Buffy than VM).

I have liked this season. Tonight had some great moments. Dick saying, "...You find me repungent..." And "kiester eggs," come on, that was classic!
