Vero Web Cam

Unfortunately, it's not focused very well (or maybe it's condensation) but here's the web cam that looks out over the ocean from a condo in Vero (down a bit from the resort). Usually there are cars parked in the lot -- looks like a ghost town. Also looks like the surf is getting pretty rough.

The webcam doesn't appear to be updating the image. I've tried to hit "refresh", but to no avail. Perhaps the power is out and the server just shows the last image sent from the webcam.

However, the webcam site does have a link to a very interesting Doppler Radar site that does appear to be current. Looks like its going to be a wet, wet weekend down there.

Looks like 11:00 a.m. is the last image we're going to get. It's too bad since it would have been nice to keep an eye on things.

NBC News has Brian Williams using the "Bloom Mobile" (David Bloom's vehicle from Desert Storm) to travel down Route 1 from Sebastian to Vero. I saw the start of it. I guess he wasn't allowed out onto A1A.
