Vero Waitlist Questions

I just waitlisted an Inn room at Vero beach for Aug 1st thru 5th. Only the Friday wasn't available but I decided to waitlist the whole thing. Would it have been better to waitlist just the one night? Also, back in the day when you called to waitlist you would give two room choices under one waitlist request. Now online you would make another waitlist would this supersede the first on and make it inactive or can you have two for the same resort? One last questions...think the odds are in my favor? Thanks!

We will be there from Aug 5th-11th. When I first booked, there wasn't a full week, so I booked what I could and waitlisted the rest, and it ended up coming through.

When we were there in Oct, I did the same thing and was able to get the entire time.

For the October stay, they had availability for cash, so I had that as a backup for one of the days.

Thanks for the tip. When I first went in to book the vacation all the nights except Friday were available, now Fri and Sat are booked. I guess I lost the Saturday night and my place in the waitlist queue. So I changed my waitlist and booked the first two nights and did waitlists for Friday and Saturday separately. When you said you had the option for cash did you do that through member services? Thanks!

Yes, I spoke with member services and they walked me through the entire thing. I actually lucked out for the one in Oct a week or two before we went. As for this August, I booked it in Feb and the waitlist came through in about a week or 2.
