Currently in the the ROFR stage for Vero 150 pts $50/pt. I know it's cheap, but what are the chances of getting it. I know vero is not very popular because of high maintenance fees, but for the price, it's worth it for us to pay less now and more later. Timeshare store rep told us Disney usually let's vero go at negotiated price. We are DVC members since 1998 and this is surprisingly our 1st add on. Any thoughts?

I have seen Vero go for in the $40s per point so I don't think your $50pp is that low. And it is rare for VB to get ROFRd, but one did get taken recently (can't remember the price...will go try to find it). I think you are fairly safe, but never say never. Good luck!

ETA: Just found on another forum...50 VB points Dec UY at $50pp was taken this month. That is a small contract, though, and they tend to go for higher prices.

Thanks for the info. I did see some VB in the 40s, but they were mostly larger contracts 200 plus points. Although tempting to buy, we wanted to be strict with our budget ($8000 w closing costs included) and we accomplished that, plus as a bonus we got 87 pts to use this year which the seller already paid the MFs on. We also got the same use year (April), which we wanted so we didn't have to deal w 2 separate contracts (transferring, banking dates, etc). More important we didn't want to go much above 150 pts because of higher MFs at Vero as far as our monthly budget goes. Just hope it goes through because we borrowed 90 points to stay at AK jambo in July and are planning on replacing them by banking the 87pts for next years trips. Thanks again

I think $50 for VBR is a fair price....

Sending you pixie dust hoping that you get thru ROFR.
