Vero Questions, Location?

I have been considering a vacation for Late Feb, early March 2004. I am considering a sat, sun , mon , 2/28,2/29, 3/1.

I was wondering if anyone knew if I will have a problem booking a 2br, at the 7 month window.

I was also wondering how to get there from port canaveral. Does anyone have links to a map? Know a towncar that services the area (to vero) at reasonable rates, or if renting a car is a better option.

Which airport would be closest to Vero?

You will be going to Vero during the prime season but I think if you call at the 7 month mark and are willing to stay on the wait list if necessary, that you will get the 2 bedroom.

I don't have exact directions from Port Canaveral but basically you take either I-95 or A1A (or Route1) south. From I-95 you take the Fellsmere Road exit (I think the numbers have recently changed...it was 69) to U.S. 1 South. Take U.S. 1 to 510 East to A1A, turn right. The Resort is on your immediate left.

If you come down A1A, you will drive right in front of the resort.

It is nice to have a car to explore the area. I'd consider a rental. The resort can probably suggest some local limo companies if you'd prefer not to drive.

Melbourne Airport is the closest to Vero. However, flights are sometimes more limited and/or more expensive. The two next best options are Orlando and West Palm Beach. It's about 1 1/2 hours from Orlando, a little less from West Palm.
