We're trying to plan a late summer trip in 2015 to Vero Beach.

Thinking about early or mid September, but our kids will all be 3 & under so we have total time flexibility. We'd like some beach fun though, so ideally when we go we'd like some warmth.

Suggestions as to when the best time to visit would be? We'll have to book at 7 mo so we're looking for a nice intersection of weather and low traffic, just like everyone else I suppose.

From a data standpoint
September is Vero Beach's month of highest average rainfall
On average, October temps are good for beach time (high in 80's low about 68). But you can have unusually low temps down to 50.

All summer and fall months are hurricane season, so you have to be prepared.

Right now, the week after Labor Day week (September 7-14,2014) is WDW dead time. I think that bodes very well for beach crowds because families with kids in school don't want to take vacation yet:

So essentially that same time frame would work well for Vero, am I understanding you correctly? That is the week I am looking at most closely.

Yes, That's how I look at it, and would be interested in that week if I were in your situation. (As long as there are not any other factors, like a big race at Daytona or something else that might mess up crowds)

I'm usually there the week of Labor Day, and occupancy generally goes from 100% over the weekend to practically empty on Tuesday, so the following week would probably be very quiet.

After Labor Day, and except for 3BRs, VB was open at 7 months out during Sep 2014.
