Vero Beeach questions

I am considering a stay at Vero Beach before our Disney vaca (11/26-11/29). Has anyone stayed there over Thanksgiving? Where did you stay? Looking for low cost on beach (staying high-cost in WDW). What is the weather at that time of year? Will we be able to take advantage of the beach? Looking for any help I can get right now. I really want to finalize this beginning part of our trip.

Do you know that Disney has a DVC resort in Vero Beach? It includes villas and a hotel and is located right on the beach. However, it is not inexpensive, especially at holiday time. The weather at Thanksgiving should be nice and you should be able to enjoy the beach and pool.

There is also a Holiday Inn located on the beach in Vero Beach. There are several other hotels as well, but I can't recall the names. If you get the Holiday Inn's address, I think it's Ocean Drive, any other hotel on that road will also be on the ocean. I don't think you'll find anything "on the beach" that is also inexpensive. Vero is an upscale resort town.
