We have enough points to stay one night at Vero Beach (Thursday night) after our WDW visit. It will be our first time to VB, so I have some questions:

1. Which would be better? An Inn Room or a Studio?

2. If we had an Inn Room, could we still use the free laundry facilities set up for the DVC villas?

3. Where is the laundry located at Vero Beach?

4. Is there a place you can change if the kids want to swim some the day we check out? We are checking out on Friday.

Thanks!
DJ

an inn room has 2 beds and you can get a guaranteed view of the ocean - studios has 1 bed and sleeper sofa no guaranteeds.

yes the free laundry is for all DVC members -

I think it is the pool area - not sure on this one - been awhile since I have stayed at VB

I think they are - but check with the front desk -

Hi, DJ. I can only take a stab at your first question, as the rest are somewhat foreign to me.

Most here will advise getting the inn room. One reason is that for the same amount of points as a studio, you can get a guaranteed an ocean view. Also, I believe the inn rooms have two queens vs a queen and a sofa.
On the flip side, studios are very nice. The studios have character, as they are not a rectangle box.

I am sure you will love Vero regardless of which you choose! Have fun...

Its a long way to travel for one night.
I was staying there sept. 11th

There is a laundry right in the Inn. It is on the top (4th floor?)right near the elevator. It is free for all guests. As mentioned on the "treasures" thread, there is suprisingly good view out the balcony of the laundry room -- you can catch a great sunset. ;)

We recently returned from our first trip "home" to Vero. We loved it and I'm sure you will as well. Although we don't have kids, we noticed that there were tons of fun activities scheduled for the kids and everyone was having a great time. To answer your questions:

1. Studio vs. Inn Room - This is a popular question and I think very much depends on what you are looking for. We stayed in an Inn room based on suggestions from this board, but once we were there wished we had stayed in a studio. We even had the big corner Inn Room (with King bed and sitting area), with a beautiful view of the ocean, and would rather have had the studio. We found the Inn to be a little too busy and "hotel-like" for our liking and the villas (with the studios) are a little more secluded and more "home-like." And we found that we didn't spend much time "looking at the ocean" when we were in our room anyway. But, it's really personal preference and for one night I'm sure you'll be fine anywhere as it's a beautiful resort.

2. Yes, the Inn has separate laundry facilities.

3. Laundry for the Inn is on the 4th floor. I'm not sure about the villas.

4. The pool has a huge locker room with showers, changing rooms and everything. It was nice and clean the whole time we were there.

Have fun! I'm so jealous and can't wait to go back!

Thanks so much for the information! I can't wait to see the resort. We are staying at BCV and VWL while we are at WDW, but we wanted to save one day to go down and visit VB before we go on our Disney Cruise. Sounds like it will be a nice way to get ready for our cruise!
