Vero Beach

What can anyone tell me about Vero Beach? How far from Disney? How far from Barefoot Bay? How far from Kennedy Space Ctr? Any info on the character breakfast? Is FL disney dining card accepted here? Are both Goofy & Max usually there? Is brkfst preplated or buffet? Thanks for any help. My MIL lives winters in Barefoot Bay so we are planning on visiting for 3 days after our Wilderness Lodge trip.

We are headed to VB soon and cannot wait.
As for distances, it took us about 1 hr 45 min to get from WDW to VB last year. As for KSS, I am not sure.
The character breakfast is Saturday morning with Goofy and Max. You can make PS by calling VB.

I can't find Barefoot Bay on Mapquest. What is it near?

I don't believe the Disney Dining Card is accepted at Vero. I believe KSC is about 45 minutes to an hour from Vero. I'm sorry but I don't have the details on the character breakfast. It's not every day.

As of last summer, the character breakfast was pre-plated. There was the usual fare, eggs, bacon, etc. etc. The characters are Goofy and Max and they are quite interactive as the restaurant is small.

My MIL talks about Melbourne alot. Is Melbourne near Vero Beach?

Melbourne is north of Vero Beach about 45 minutes or so. That is the closest airport as well although flights from many places are limited and/or expensive. Sebastian and Sebastian Inlet are right near Vero if those ring any bells. The Disney Resort is on Orchid Island and is in Vero Beach in a very broad sense. The actual Vero Beach is about 15 minutes down A1A from the resort.
