Vero Beach

I don't ever seem to read much about VB here in this message board. I notice out on the resell websites, a number of resells for VB at some very good prices and I just wonder - is there anything wrong with VB? I've thought about buying either HH or VB as our home resort mainly because my DW loves the beach and since we've read that you should buy where you might stay most often, I think this would apply in that case. Ideally we'd choose HH, but the resells at VB look really attractive. I'd love to read some impressions of VB. Thanks.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Vero Beach. It is one of my favorites, probably second only to VWL (where we own) as far as DVC resorts. If you are looking for a beach only vacation at a truly exceptional resort VB is for you. Very, very peaceful and relaxing with a nice pool, miniature golf etc. It doesnt have an especially expansive beach but what it has serves the purpose nicely.
The only downside is there isnt much to do in Vero Beach. It's really a pretty quiet town. We spent 4th of July there last year and will be there again at Labor Day.Hope this helps!

It's a great resort but not reasonable to buy just to use at WDW. If you like VB and want to stay there most of the time, go for it. If not, buy somewhere else. OKW will be about as cheap and about $1 per point per year less fees negating any short term savings on a resale.

We were at VB 2 weeks ago and I did a report when we got back .....they are below. It is a "Great " resort if you don't need to be on WDW property.
