Has anybody been to Vero Beach? I'm going in october with my cousin (we're both 14/girls) and have no idea what to do for the whole time besides surfing and tanning.:confused3

i havnt been there. i am going at the end of august tho!!! cant wait...

yeah the only place i have ever been on vacation is disney (and my family goes like 3 times a year) so my dad and I finally talked my mom into going to VB for a week. But we still get to go to disney for 2 days!!!

I'VE BEEN!!!!

Sorry. We're going again this year.

There's loads to do, but some of the things cost. If you're going to Disney's Vero Beach Resort, they have a pool with a very awesome slide (which you can gain some speed on) and there's also a mini golf course there. It costs about $5 to get a pass for unlimited mini golf throughout your trip. For $40, you can go kayaking down a river nearby, that has dolphins and manatees in. You can go on a bike trail. Every night there's a campfire, which was fun. If you go on their website, they have a list of things you can do.

o ma gosh! at the end my parents and i are going to beach club for 2 days after vero beach.

yeah Im going to disneys VB. I have been to their website, i just didnt know what was fun and what was just a waste of time. thanks for your help!!!

I love Vero Beach. It is nice to go after a Disney Trip because you just kind of get to relax. I love it though. It is very pretty and I enjoy making sandcastles. :) The pool is awesome and the ocean is beautiful. I also enjoyed the campfire. Have Fun!!

I'm pretty familar with the place. Its just okay. The Disney resort is great, they offer many things to do but other than that this place offers two movie theaters, a small mall, and some resturants. If its possible, it might be a ten minute drive, but try to get over to South Beach, thats the beach where all the young locals go. I don't know where else to tell you to go, I'm out of ideas. Hope you have a good time though. :D

I've never been there but I've been to Hilton Head and it is so much fun and so relaxing!

My grandmom lives there, do you live up north ? if its okay, what state?

the water is SOOOO blue and pretty(:

I live in pennsylvania and go to the NJ shore and the water is green-ish blue but in vero it is SOO pretty and the sand is different too, its like rocky like tiny TINY pebbles not grains of sand .. if you get that haha .

nope i live down south in TN. thats cool about the sand; the only beaches that i have been to have really really finegrained sand. I'm really looking forward to VB since I rarely get to go to the beach.

I forgot to tell you and I think that October may be too late, but they have an amazing turtle watch program. When I first went to Vero Beach, my mom was walking on the beach really early in the morning and found baby turtles that had just hatched. They were so cute. The next time we went, I took the turtle tour thing and we saw eggs and got to adopt a turtle( they track them in the ocean.) It is really cool, so I would definitely recommend that if it is avaliable. It is one of my best memories of there. They also have really great seashells. If you get up early in the morning ( I think around 6) then you can walk along the beach and pick some up. I love it because obviously Kentucky is nowhere near the ocean. :) They make great keepsakes.
