I think Vero Beach is a DVC that is off WDW property correct? Is this why the resort is only 75-85 a point? Couldn't people use it at WDW? Sorry, I just get emails on resales and DH is always asking why it is so inexpensive:confused3 I am just as confused as to why it is so much lower that the others. Thanks

The reason that Vero Beach is the least expensive is because it has the highest yearly dues. This is largely due to the fact that it is a beach property and has higher maintenance expenses. We purchased Saratoga Springs because it has the lowest yearly dues and we can still stay at any other dvc resorts.

The highest dues are part of it but HH and Vero will ALWAYS be less expensive since it is off-site. To be guaranteed the type of accommodations that you want, it is becoming more and more important to book early (before the 7 month window). You caan only book your home resort at 7-11 months out. So, to be guaranteed a 2 BR at WDW during Christmas week, most people book at 7-11 months out at their home resort and then try to change the booked resort (if they so desire) at the 7 month mark. So, owners of Vero or HH never have the 7-11 month booking option for any property on-site. You may get what you want at 7 months out, but then again, you may not.

Ok, thanks. We were not planning on buying (actually called to buy at AKV) and we were curious.
